A young woman moved into an apartment. The apartment was in a home build in Milledgeville GA in 1923 and was turned into apartments in 1984. She had a bad dream right after she moved it. Then she began to have that same bad dream a couple of times a week and then more. In her dream it was an earlier time. The apartment would be gone in her dream and the house would be as it would have been in the 1950s.
She started to remember more and more from the dream. She would hide and a murderer would come looking. She would hide in the closet with a big knife. The murder would eventually pull back the clothes where she was hiding. The murder had a gun and she had a knife. In her dream she would slash and kill the murderer and then call the police and wait outside. The police would come (1950s police) and there would be no body. The police would leave and the young woman would go back in only to be killed by the murder. She would actually die in her dream night after night. Strange things happened like cabinet doors opened, closet doors opened. Windows would open, doors would unlock. Lots of creepy noises.
The dream came more and more frequently until it was 6 or 7 nights a week. Lots of people asked if she knew if anything bad ever happened in that house. She didn't know and didn't want to know. She moved out before her lease was up. After cleaning EVERYTHING out of that apartment and moving the upstairs neighbor called her to say she still had some mail there. So the young woman went back to the apartment to get her mail and some of her things had mysteriously gotten back to the apartment.
Nineteen years later the young woman was now a mom and her daughter was taking Georgia history and had to do a local story for a paper for a high school class. The daughter had heard the stories of her mom's "nightmare house" her entire life. So she went to the library and found out that a murderer who killed two people had actually lived in that house.
Have you ever lived in a haunted house? Do you believe in ghosts? My answers are yes and yes.
