Severe Halloween Storms ~Houston 2015

There are some spooky Halloween storms today rolling through our area. Severe street flooding, traffic nightmares and power outages. These storms began coming in last night from both the west and from the south.

Be be safe and stay off of the streets if you can. More importantly, if you must get out, do NOT drive through his water. There are more people drowned and swept away when they misjudged the water level.

The good news is these storms should move out in time for the trick or treaters today.

Happy Halloween and be safe!

Hi Paula -  that will certainly cut down on trick or treaters.  I guess the parents will be driving rather than walking.

Paula,  Better to stay at home and be safe. Families can do movie night - pajama parties with popcorn. If not, lets hope the weather report is right and the storms will let up in time for the kids to go out and get their goodies.

Turn around, don't drown !   I lived in Houston some years ago and floods are common place when it rains but these storms are more severe.   Please use caution and have a sunny day tomorrow.

Good morning Paula. Rain, wind and cold here yesterday.  It ended around 01:00 PM and although it was cool it turned out to be a good day for those spooks.
