Fifth Blog Of The 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT

Mortgage and Lending with George Souto NMLS #65149 FHA, CHFA, VA Mortgages NMLS #65149

Fall is now starting to depart from Middletown Connecticut, as you can see from the last picture above for my Fifth Blog Of The 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT.  Soon the start of Winter will be here and the remaining leaves on the trees will be all gone.

I posted my  "First Progression of Fall Blog Of 2015 on October 9th."    The first picture above is the picture in that blog.  I was late in posting the first blog and the picture was taken about a week and a half before I posted it on October 9th.  The second picture you see was taken about two weeks later for my Second Blog Of The 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT.   The second picture already started to show a major change in the colors of the trees in those two short weeks.  In the Third Blog Of The 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT, there wasn't much change from the 2nd picture.   But in the Fourth Blog Of The 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT there is a significant change in the color of the trees in just one week.  Last week we had heavy rain and winds which took down many of the leaves, and the remaining leaves no longer have much color to them as you can see in the last picture above on Sunday for this Fifth Blog Of The 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT.

I started to do this series of the progression of Fall colors Four years ago, and hope to continue to do this series for years to come.  The first two years the pictures were of a farm which is only about a minute walk from my house.  Last year I decided to change the location for the 2014 Progression Of Fall Color Series to a lake about 5 minutes from my house on RT17.  The Fall colors at that location were not as good as I had hoped them to be, but I am going to give this location one more chance for my 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT.  However, even though this year the colors at this spot are more vibrant than last year, I have already picked out a new spot for next year.  If the colors at the new spot I have picked out for next year are anywhere what they were this year, it will be my best progression of Fall colors series.

Fall is a beautiful time of the year in New England, and even though last year was better than the two previous years, it still was not what I had hoped for.  I have become spoiled by the beautiful colors we normally see during the Fall, so I am happy the beautiful colors returned this year.  My favorite colors are the trees with yellow, orange, and rust color leafs when they blend together.  Anyone planning to come to New England to enjoy our Fall colors next year should plan on coming between the middle of October to the beginning of November.

Fall is now starting to depart from Middletown Connecticut.   The next blog I post will most likely be the last one in this series for this year.  In the next week most of the leaves will be down and the trees will be all bare and ready for the Winter snow.  I hope you continue to follow my series of the 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown CT for the final blog and have enjoyed the pictures I have been posting so far.

I enjoy seeing your photos each year in your series showing the changes in your fall colors. It's almost sad to see the final shot because now you know who is lurking around the corner..Old Man Winter!

George, most of our leaves have fallen now, we had a "skiff" of snow last night, and took most of the remaining ones!

I think it might be time to invest in rakes and maybe jump on a few snow shovels as well.

We don't have enough deciduous trees around here to get a real huge show of fall. Recently, on a trip east, the colors were gorgeous as we landed in Baltimore.

Good Afternoon George: You chose a different spot this year.. Wasn't year by the bridge? The orange hues disappeared quickly. Gone in the 4th week.

I am not liking the quick change in colors :(. Because the trees will be barren soon.

The fall colors are spectacular! Especially photo #4. You can tell in the last photo many of the colorful leaves were washed away. Thanks for sharing this for those of us who haven't experienced the New England fall season first hand.
