For many years we've been going to a incredibile Halloween Party. The hosts, Lou and Susan Wallace go above and beyond both in decorations, food, gaming tables and incredible yearly themes. We are told the theme a year ahead and have plenty of time to create our costumes. Most of the time we wait until a few months before Halloween to get started on ideas. But then it's non-stop planning on figuring out how to create an authentic costume. You would be amazed at the costumes that the party goers create! Every year they get more and more elaborate. Fun!
Witch's Brew is my most favorite costume - ever! I typically used to wear sexy, fun costumes but I wanted to get out of my box and create something different. The theme was 'Mel Brook's Movies'. We watched a lot of movies before I picked the Witch! The Witch had a small part in the Dracula movie, of which I watched over and over to get the costume as authentic as possible. I found the perfect wig, a really long ugly nose, gunny sak skirt. 'persian' head wraps and a long stragly shawl to look as close as possible to the Witch in the movie. Plus at the party I had the Witch cackle down pretty darn scary!! I might even have a video of that cackle that I can add into my post. Don't be scared my little pretty. I won't eat you!
