Now that the address for our new RE/MAX Advantage home is 200 W Mulberry we might wonder what came before us so when we see a picture that has the Mulberry name under it we linger.  Here's one that I just found in my collection and it says 209 E Mulberry.  Pretty close neighbors!

Then I searched my old blogs and found that I had written about the Purina building before.  Actually, the TWO Purina buildings that were on the very same street.  Go to my old blog by clicking here and see the pictures of both of them.  How our town has grown!  Come to see us at our new location and we can reminisce together.

Barbara,
I may be wrong but it seems there was a time the Purina building was the tallest building in Searcy.

I watched them demolish this building. They tore it down to build the Burger King.

Does anyone have a photo of the "swinging" bridge that spanned the Little Red River before it fell down. I was born in Dewey, just a few miles from there. As a child was always fascinated by that single lane bridge.

Howard here is a link to a directory of photos of the swinging bridge, that you can find on the Library of Congress website. http://loc.gov/pictures/search/?q=Photograph:%20ar0106&fi=number&op=PHRASE&va=exact&co%20=hh&st=gallery&sg%20=%20true

Don, thanks for that address.

Howard, sounds as if Floyd has given you the answer and thanks, Floyd, for doing so.  I have also done several blogs with bridges so do a search on Google.

I have been in several small towns in which the tallest building is a grain mill, so I have no doubts that David is correct in his memory :)
