The Most Expensive Home sold in Arizona last week

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Zion Realty

Only a handful of properties each year in the Phoenix area come up for sale that are a cut above the rest. They are true luxury at it's finest. The most expensive home that sold in Arizona last week was one of these magnificent mansions. Constructed in 2013 and listed as having a total living space of 22,215 square feet, this JR Mcdade Company built property sold for $7.315 Million dollars. What was also a rarity in the luxury home selling market is that this palatial estate was sold by auction through DeCaro Luxury Auctions. There was no reserve set and no minimum bid. The original list price was set at over $16 Million dollars back in 2014 so it seems like almost a steal for the new owner to have walked away paying cash for less than half of that asking price.

Located on almost 3-acres of exclusive land in Paradise Valley, there is no end to the lavish upgrades to be enjoyed at this home. Inside and out it's hard not to get the impression that you are living in a resort instead of a house. Every room has a unique feature or focal point. The twenty foot ceiling in the master bathroom shower and private outdoor courtyard off of the master bedroom which includes a walk in spa and fireplace are just some of the rare and exclusive features that you don't even find in other luxury properties. The indoor basketball court, resort style pool with a lazy river, and 5,000 square foot guest house are more of the unique and posh and extravagant elements of this incredible propety. Click on the picture below for the full MLS listing:

Location: Paradise Valley

Size: 22,215 sqft

Bedrooms: 11

Bathrooms: 12.5

Lot size: 125,152 sqft

Nicole I love seeing the homes in your "Most Expensive Home Sold In Arizona" blogs each week.  This house however could pass off as a Hotel :)

Hi Nicole... this is resort-style living, for sure. Of course, what one does with 22,000+ square feet is mystery to me (and I'm used to living in large houses!).

Vera - It's a whopper!

Paul - There seems to be no end to the space that home has!

Beth - I think so. It's a 9 million dollar savings from a year ago!

Roger - You could lose a lot of things in that place!

George - With the right re-zone maybe they could use it for that!

Nina - You fill it with stuff that you'll probably never use and don't need anyways.

Hi Nicole - The features and finishes on that home are spectacular, and at 22,000 sq.ft., seems to have been a pretty good buy for the price. We've had very little experience with auctions here, and never for a home like this. Thanks for this fun weekly post.

Nicole, this is quite some home! I guess when you have a home with eleven bedrooms and 12 and a half baths, you'll have a few people do the housekeeping as well.

Dick - Auctions aren't a big part of real estate here either so it's surprising that's the route this home went.

Chris Ann - That backyard as a whole is amazing!

Grant - You're not kidding!

Silvia - I'm guessing the new owners will have a little extra money to pay for a housecleaner.

Lou - Ultra-luxury living indeed!

Endre - What do you think? Would it have gone for $30 million or more?

Amanda - It is actually the most expensive home and the biggest home in the series so far.

David - I can't believe they got it for less than half of what it was listed for just a year ago!
