IMG_20151023_135430833[1]Anyone living in the Larchmont/Mamaroneck area knows of the Larchmont Tavern , a local tradition since 1933. As the sites note, the family once housed 8 of 10  children in one room upstairs to the tavern, and the owner (now co-owner) fondly recalls his family’s memories from over the years.

If you have had children who played sports, then all would also know Coach Mike Chiaparelli (Chappy) who has been the bar tender at “LT’s” for over 25 years, and another happy fixture in this local gathering eatery.  As an aside, “Chappy” has led the High School Varsity Baseball team to 3 state championships in the last 8 years.. quite an accomplishment for anyone. The Larchmont Tavern has a pleasing casual menu, something for everyone, and while I popped in for a quick bite the other day, I simply chose cheeseburger, good old American fare!

The Larchmont Tavern Located at 104 Chatsworth Avenue in Larchmont Village,  914.834-9821 and it is open 7 days a week.

Larchmont is GREAT!

That picture is making me hungry. I could go for a cheeseburger about now! What state is this in?

I didn't realize it has been there since 1933.  That is really cool.
