What's the Neighborhood Like? This is a rural area; most home sites are 2-5 acres with many large land tracks of over 100 acres. The homes are mixed, but well maintained. Inside this section we have Whitewater Lake, Cherokee Lake, Fiddler’s Cove Lake, Mountain Springs Lake and Lake Cheohee. These are all private, man-made lakes. We also have Lakes Keowee, Jocassee and Bad Creek. They are part of the Duke-Energy power lake system for Hydro and nuclear power production. As we have the large lakes we have several gated communities on Jocassee and Keowee.
