Remember to connect with service (home care & improvement) providers - and be "All Things Real Estate" for your leads and clients - with Homebrella!
Earlier this week it rained for the first time in a long time in the Bay Area, where we are headquartered. This is a big deal for us Californians. Raindrops and puddles are on everyone’s minds, social media, and conversations.
Weather is a perfect reason to go into your PropertyMinder toolkit, click on ‘Send Message’ and write up a short, valuable email related to weather.
Or to pick up the phone and say ‘Hello” and ask them how the heavy rain has been there for them.
We agents are always in need of starting a conversation. Weather is that perfect reason.
Give people suggestions and see how they (and their home) are doing.
Do you have 1st time homeowners in your contact database?
They may need your home-weather knowledge. Call or email them and inform them about weatherproofing their roofs and gutters. Showcase yourself as a caring agent and as a neighborhood expert.
Tell people to be observant of any roof leaks, gutter problems, drainage issues.
In areas that get snow, people need to “winterize” their homes. Frozen pipes are not only damaging but obscenely expensive to repair. Reminding people of these home-related issues is a great way to reconnect with people and remind them that you are “all things real estate”.
Touching base and staying top-of-mind is the name of the game in real estate.
Clients, past clients, leads- wherever they are in the sales cycle, they are an opportunity for you to make yourself known and to build your reputation. A short email can take minutes to write, but it can have an impact for many months to come. There are 2 months until 2016. Why not start building your pipeline now?
Today, go into your PropertyMinder Toolkit and send out a mass email to a few of your contact groups or key contacts about something weather-related. Have an eye-cactching subject line. It can be informal or funny, don’t worry- it should get people’s attention.
This will:
- Remind them of you and your business
- Let them know you are aware of many things house-related, not just the buying and selling aspect
- Show you care about them and their home- thus you are working on your relationships
-Increase the chances of referrals because you are getting their attention and giving them something of value.
Give them a breakdown of what they should be looking out for in their house during this winter weather.
Let them know you have intimate knowledge of homes and of trusted contractors in the area (ask us about our “Home Care Center”).
Make sure you let them know that not only is this vital for making sure that their homes are bought for top value and sold for top value, but that keeping up with weather-related repairs is vital to a home’s value over time.
Need help writing a subject line or writing a written template? Let us know. We will help you personally.
Here is an example of four free email templates that we wrote. Feel free to use them and tell us what worked!
Questions? Comments? Need to vent?

Have a wonderful weekend,
