Meet Amos, the Most Famous Mosquito

By
Education & Training with Alan Kells School of Real Estate/Howard Hanna Real Estate

Who loves mosquitos?  Not me!  Can you imagine having a cocktail with Amos?

Mosquito

Yes, this was the napkin under my glass. Needless to say I flipped the napkin over and enjoyed  my glass of wine.

Real name is Amos Mosquito, a restaurant/bar in Atlantic beach, NC where we had wonderful seafood dinner.

Very friendly staff, good  food and affordable prices.

Amos

I decided to preserve Amos for this post so I brought a few napkins home.  Wish I could order delivery of another seafood dinner.  Till next trip to coast...

Amos

Dave & I spent the next few days relaxing along the waterfront of Atlantic Beach and Beaufort, NC and tour of Marine Base at Camp Lejuene where saw several 'Tank crossing' signs.

It is hard to take my retired navy husband far from the water.  However, on the last day of vacation while touring the marsh trail at North Carolina Aquarium I was bitten several times by one of Amos' relatives.

Mary, I agree about you turning that napkin over as it is certainly NOT the best choice to have that as a logo on a napkin staring back up at you!

They might appreciate that down in Port Arthur, Texas for when my dad lived there after the war he said you only had to worry about the mosquitoes that couldn't fly through the chain link fences.

Bruce Walter I think that is why the owner picked the name he did.  With all the water and marsh land the mosquitos are king just like Port Arthur Texas.

Mary Yonkers when I hear the name Amos it always brings warm feeling as one of the best two dogs I've owned was named Amos. Amos Moses to be precise.

Amos Moses is great name for dog.  Better for a dog than a mosquito

Mary - Okay, so the restaurant may have good food, pricing, and a friendly staff, but the name and logo are certainly odd for a place that serves food.

Agree Troy Erickson At first I wondered why Dave picked this restaurant but trusted his palate which did not fail to please us.  Later we heard that the mosquitos & black flies are very pesky in the summer.
