Closed sales in Williamsburg Virginia for the first week of  November 2014.

Yesterday I posted a blog with information on the closed sales in the Williamsburg area for the first week of November 2015.  I thought it would be interesting to compare the sales with those of the first week of November 2014.

Last year there were 15 closed sales versus 11 closed sales this year. The median price for last years sales was $289,900 while the media price this year was $343,000.

That is a huge difference in selling price! How were the days on market? I have seen higher selling prices this year but it took longer to get the homes sold, in our market.

Hi Sybil.  The rise in prices from 2014 is quite striking.  We're seeing similar results in many other parts of the country as well.

Evelyn Johnston, I will check that I didn't have it as a field in my search.

Gabe Sanders, that is a good sign for the market in many parts of the country.

Interesting comparison.  Real estate slows way down here by the end of October.

That increase in median price probably thrills last year's buyers Sybil Campbell.   Let's hope the next twelve months in Virginia show equal appreciations in value and equity.
