With this market, I believe we should try all forms of marketing or lead generation.  I believe there is one that we forgot about or stop using because of the do not call list.  Or because many sellers are fustrated and have bad attitudes.  I just wanted to let everyone know that there are several clients that still want help selling their home.  I call most ads in the newspaper and the penny saver and do extremely well with getting listings,  Some are rude but then again some are very pleasant and glad that a agent has called them.   I still have a lot of room for improvement in this .  Cold calling is not that bad if you just remember to not take it personal or get fustrated.  I just thought this might help some agents in getting business in this market.  I'm currently trying to improve my cold calling techniques.  Honestly, its not actually cold calling because they have already let you know that they are trying to sell by placing an ad.

Kevin - it's probably a good time to (cold) call, since these days there is so much on the market. if you catch the right person at the right time, I'm sure they would welcome your call. but like you said you just can't take it personally if you catch the dificult ones.
