Today Marks the Battle of the Boot and will be hosted in Tigerland, Good Ole' Baton Rouge, LA. Each year beginning in 1996, LSU and Arkansas go head to head for one great Football Game and may the best team win. The Golden Boot is currently in Arkansas from the Razorbacks win in 2014. This is always a great SEC rivalry game. The Tigers have won 11 of the 18 meetings between the teams, and leading the series, with a plan to take it back home today. This Golden Boot Trophy is Molded from 24-karat gold in the shape of the states of Arkansas and Louisiana, the trophy stands four feet in height, weighs nearly 200 pounds and is valued at $10,000. It is believed to be the heaviest trophy awarded in a college football rivalry. After a win in the series, the victorious team keeps the trophy till the next year's game.
