A great reminder from Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland that referrals are the very best source of listings. Networking with other agents and with your sphere of influence / past clients is reasonably easy to do (although many of us don't!) and pays significant dividends. Re-blog of the day!
How Did You Get That Listing?
One of the Realtors® that I mentor always asks me:
"How did you get that listing?"
I have decided to take all my listings and answer that question.
Let's start with
This one is a referral from an agent I met over 20 years ago.
When I first started in Real Estate 25 years ago, I took Floyd Wickman Sweathog class and then went to many of the Master Sales Academies in Vegas and one in Atlantic city.
I have made many friends through Floyd over the years. One was a real estate agent named Debby and her wonderful husband Frank.
They were friends with another wonderful couple that lived in Puerto Rico where Frank and Debbie vacation. That couple has a house in Baltimore. Do you see where I am going with this?
When it came time for this lovely couple to sell...they call yours truly!
I love their house, right up my alley.. a contemporary Deck House on 4 acres.
So what if it was not in my immediate neighborhood...these were important people. They are friends of my friends!
And, of course, I took them on.
