Francis was born in Alexandra, Virginia back in 1928 to Theodore and Daisy. Being a standout he was named to the All-South Atlantic Conference three times. During his college career he led West Virginia State his nickname was to two Tournament Championships in 1948-49 season. His nickname was “The Big Cat”. He played for the Washington Capitals the Syracuse Nationals and the Detroit Pistons before his retirement. You may know him better as Earl Lloyd.
