There is a very limited supply of Low-Maintenance Golf homes in Denver –As of today, November 17th,
2015 there are only 28 Low-Maintenance Homes available for sale on Denver area golf courses. When I am talking about Low-maintenance, I am talking about condos, townhomes, patio homes or Golf Villas that are on a golf course and have very little owner maintenance, at the most they may have a small back lawn to mow. But everything else is either taken care of by the community or there is no need.
These types of homes are favorable not just to the golf enthusiast, but more and more home-owners that prefer to spend their time enjoying travel or perhaps a second home and do not want the lawn-mowing, leaf-raking, roofing, siding, gardening, snow-shoveling (accept in rare cases) or any of the other time consuming activities that hold traditional homeowners hostage.
Personally I would rather spend 5 hours on the golf course than tending to the lawn every weekend. I love the idea that I could just lock up and leave for weeks at a time if I wanted and come back and everything was just as I left it. Many of these homeowners will have a second home, perhaps a mountain condo or getaway with similar low-maintenance.
One of the nicer features of a low-maintenance golf course home is that they are typically less expensive than traditional golf course homes, in fact in my most recent search only one of these homes was listed over $600K, a very nice Golf Villa that is priced right at $1.19M and features over 4300 finished square feet including a walkout basement onto a resort style semi private Inverness Golf Club. The other 27 homes range in price from $350-599K and several are free standing patio homes in the Heritage communities of Todd Creek, Eagle Bend and Vista Ridge.
You can find everything from a Denver Country Club condo, to suburban open space patio homes.
