Up at dawn. Chores done before the rising sun. The weather is a cool 48 degrees, expected high 68 and sunny. The temperatures are perfect for my deep purple sweater, plush and comfortable. Phone calls begin at 8:00 a.m., returning client calls and making schedules.
Getting up early pays off. The wolf is a skilled hunter, at the top of the food chain, doesn't wait for left overs. I like to get up early too. A wolf always finds something to howl at, I do too!
There's a lot to learn from the wolf - courage, endurance, the skill of the hunt and being the leader of the pack. A wolf does not waste time. They have immense stamina.
No time to rake the leaves today. Some still cling to the trees. I see yellow, gold and red brown leaves outside my window. Birds in the sky, soaring in space, leaving not a trace of song today. I hear airplanes flying overhead.
Time to get present and start the day with people but I really do cherish these hours to myself. If only it was a wordless Wednesday and the coffee pot would start without me.
