Experience Plays a Crucial Role in Managing Expectations

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Gold DRE #00697006

Just because I am in Minneapolis for several days visiting my family doesn't mean that we can't enjoy a few good meals. It's part of the highlight of traveling, not having to fend and forage for yourself. As a result, we've been to several excellent restaurants in south Minneapolis, the type of restaurants that one had to go downtown to find when I used to live here a long time ago.

And now, here they are, right in our south Minneapolis neighborhoods. For me, I can always usually rely on a restaurant meeting my expectations by the wine list. It's always good to have a little food with your wine, you know. :) I tend to start by figuring out which wine selection I want to drink with dinner and then I plan my meal around that. But then I have learned something about managing expectations that my niece has not, which is a big difference in the 40 years that separates us by age. You can see a photo of the two of us in my blog and read more about this topic in my personal blog today at this link: Assessing an Accurate Picture to Manage Expectations.

So true, Elizabeth.  It's important to enjoy good food especially while traveling.  And having friends and family with you is a great way to relax and re-charge for the tasks ahead.

Elizabeth, sounds like you are enjoying time away, and I too pick out the wine, and order around it!

Elizabeth, Nice wine. Nice meal. Great service.

I expect that every time I dine out ... which is not often given my diet.

Now, when did you change your hair?

A while back. Guess you missed the pics of Hawaii in September and Minneapolis last July. Decided to grow my hair out in its natural state so unless I wanted to shave my head, this is the closest thing to it.

That was a nice gesture on the part of the server.  Probably better to give it to a patron that let it sit for a while, only to be thrown out.

Love the picture of you and your niece.

Yeah, Chris Ann, did that ever happen to you? Moreover, who would leave a perfectly good bottle of bordeaux 3/4's drunk?

Tried to comment at your personal web.   Guess I needed log in before doing so.

Great picture,  and a great job by the waitress.  Few would have noticed, fewer still acted.  Mark

Your following sentence, says a great deal, Elizabeth" "Experience is what gives me an edge. I can often accurately predict a future happening based on the present circumstances because I’ve been through so much a million times,"
