Holiday Arts and Crafts Marketplace

Saturday, November 21st
10am-4pm
Royal Oak High School
1500 Lexington Blvd.

Get a jump on your holiday shopping AND ALSO give back to the community. There are so many great handmade items available you're sure to find something for everyone. "You will find one of a kind gifts, and original works of art. This event supports our local artists and crafters," says PTA Council President Maryanne VanHaitsma.

"The event is a wonderful one with a long history of dedicated volunteers and dedicated crafters. It is wonderful to see how creative and talented all the artists and crafters are. Some crafters have been coming for years and they look forward to seeing each other, and we look forward to seeing them. It's also wonderful to see the parents and students come together. It's like seeing an old friend. We provide hot lunch options with some homemade food options as well as a bake sale," explains VanHaitsma.

All of the money collected goes right back to the students at ROHS to help fund events such as scholarships, academic honors, student organizations and clubs, as well as gifts to the school.

Hi Nancy Robinson ,  I have exhibited at a number of shows in Michigan, such as Ann Arbor, Wyandotte, Detroit Greek Festival, and others, but I have not been to that one.  I was usually in the southern states at this time of year.  It sounds like a lot of fun.
