We just went through a vicious Real Estate cycle across the United States where tens of millions of people had to breach their agreement to pay their mortgages. The joy, well-being and good all around feeling of having a home turned into a nightmare and went in the opposite direction for many. That pain runs deep, long and for some over-whelming
REAL LIFE
Long before it happens, the borrower is in a stressful state of mind that if not corrected, escalates into a sever, negative, life-changing event filled with agony, gloom and despair not in that order. No one does business to breach. Life plays a part in why a person has to even consider this. Real LIFE is what I am talking about.
SHOCK IS REAL
Usually a breach comes about from a personal circumstance that changes rather abruptly and causes one to have to either rise to extra-ordinary, out of the box thinking or slowly succumb to a slow and miserable dissent into the circumstances. The shock immobilizes one and some stay stunned longer than they should. This is subjective but all so real
TAKE HASTE
That's why you always want to have a Real Estate agent to confer with just like you would have a friend, family member, doctor, attorney and tax consultant. Usually when a breach takes place, time becomes distorted and of the essence BOTH at the same time too. An agent can see ahead and help to take action to mitigate or cure. This remains to be seen but should be pursued with haste I might add
WHERES THE RENT?
Renters go through the same personal pain dynamics as well. Job loss, health issues, no savings, and unplanned events come from out of no where and what was a working normal situation between a landlord and a tenant collapses. All come to attention when it does. Both parties are affected deeply
BUSINESS IS NOT PERSONAL
The lender or money source on a mortgage tends to lean heavily on their contract and that is as they should. The stakes and risks are high and must be in their favor to cure and quickly too. The problem is it becomes so impersonal when this happens causing the borrower even more frustration and despair
DORMANT CLAUSES
The renter is in the same spot as well. If only the landlord would understand is a common reaction and even relevant too but it doesn't over-ride the contract to perform and the remedies for failing to do so. Instead, it triggers clauses, laws and actions to come to bear. Remember, they were always there but dormant. Breach summons them into action
The one in breach is over-whelmed and wants the following dynamics to kick in:
1. Out of sight, out of mind. The relief of not thinking about it... is instant, but the problem is still there
2. Procrastination. The problem doesn't go away, but you do. How does that solve anything?
3. Avoidance. How long can you keep putting something off that wont go away?
4. Stalling for time. This is a double edge sword that cuts both ways. The other party is time aware too
FIND THE WAY
I have never known a situation where there was not a solution, or two or even three. It is people accepting change that remains the problem along with major personal considerations, fears for themselves and others and having to be forced to grow in a way one would never expect or plan for
BELIEFS ARE POWERFUL
There is life after tragedy. In the end as well as the beginning, we are dealing with beliefs and while they remain difficult to undo, change, modify or even terminate, a new belief must be created. If one takes the initiative, directs it and takes an action, that is the beginning of recovery that leads to the next step.
SHOCKING
The shock of of learning that there are no guarantees in life is always just that. If learned early on, it helps to mitigate all that presents itself. When things are going well for you and yours, that is the time to prepare for the worse. Waiting for the worse is like welcoming it to come. Don't wait, plan instead
BEGIN AGAIN
Doing over or starting again is part of life. We do it every day when we wake up. This is for a reason. We were not put here to be defeated but instead, to rise above, solve and become better for our situations whatever they be. These words are not even close to the actual experience but still true none the less
GO TOWARD THE BREACH
Always reach-out, discuss and go toward what ever takes place and help will come your way. From where, whom and how remains to be seen, but it is there... if one can center themselves, call upon their inner faith and strengths and begin the process.
GODSPEED....
