Holiday Inn sold for $65M-will be torn down

This is a rendering of the massive mixed use property to be called World Trade Center of the Americas. The approved 77 story tall  design will begin construction soon as the deal for the property has closed. The buyer, a Brazillian developer paid $65 million for the exisiting 10 story tall Holiday Inn that will be razed soon.

WIll be interesting to see what happens in the end.  That is a massive development.  But I realize some of these investors simply have more money than they could possibly know what to do with.

That's an amazing development.  I can't imagine spending $65 million on something you were going to tear down.  But big minds think large!
