A $465.6 million project is in the works for Olowalu, which is located south of Lahaina in West Maui. The plan is one of impressive proportions based on Maui's standards, involving a community of 1,500 small-scale mixed-use units. Because of its ambitious size, among other factors it is anticipated to take 10 years to complete. Construction is expected to begin in 2018.
