OK this may sound corny or contrite but it's true: every single day I am grateful for my day to day life, family, work, home, food, etc. "God Bless America" is what my Grandpa said, banging his fist on the table before our big Italian Sunday dinners. Around Thanksgiving time, it's even more relevant to appreciate the abundance of riches (and I'm not talking about money) most of us have.
So here are the five things I am most thankful for that have impacted my business on a daily basis:
1) The internet. Can't imagine being an agent in 'the old days' when all the listings were printed in a book!
2) Appreciative clients. The ones that realize how hard I work, how attentive I am to their requests, how I try to go beyond their service expectations. They give me great referrals. Many have become close friends. It's worth working seven days a week!
3) My smart phone. I will admit I am not as educated as most on all the cool things my phone can do via various apps--but it sure is convenient to answer calls quickly, use texting and shoot pictures and videos.
4) My appetite for news. I listen to our local NPR affiliate every day and read local newspapers. I'm always learning something. I love keeping up with pop culture, current events, new movies and books. This information gives me endless conversation topics with my clients, friends, and family.
5) My car. So reliable! I've been a Honda customer for years. Rarely get stuck in the snow; my auto always starts up, runs well, gets good gas milage. It's a nice looking car without a hefty price tag.
Happy Thanksgiving!
