I recall as a kid helping my uncle gather up the pecans from my Grandparents pecan orchard.  He and his friend climbed the trees, picked the pecans and my job was to pick them up and bag them.  When they gave me a hard hat to wear, I should have know what was coming, haha.  They used me for target practice from above, haha.

Roy, I tried my hand at baking pecan pie a few years ago and it boiled over leaving a lovely sticky mess :/

Its my all-time favorite and the best I've ever had was in Beaufort, SC. This year's pie is from Village Inn :)
