A Thank You Note Shows Real Thanksgiving
Thank you notes are becoming a thing of the past. The reason is that it is so much easier to just say thank you and or send a thank you text. In many cases even these acts of thanks are not extended. The younger generations don't understand the impact that a personally written thank you note can make. Some of them may never have written a thank you note.
It takes time to sit down and write a thank you note. It takes time to put together some meaningful words and to locate an address and mail a note. It takes time to make sure you have writing materials available and some stamps to mail the notes. It takes time to be thankful and express it to others.
But If you do it it will get noticed and is so appreciated. It doesn't matter how neat the handwriting is or how good the grammar or spelling might be. The fact that you put the effort into it and did it is an act of Thanksgiving and one that any of us can do anytime of the year.
A Thank You Note Shows Real Thanksgiving. Do you teach it to your children and grandchildren? Do you know of someone that is deserving of a note from you? Do you know of someone that you appreciate and and should tell? Do you know of a person that has done something special and could use a congratulations?
What are you waiting for? Get some note cards and start writing. I know a Thank You note really brightens my day. Go brighten someone else's day.
