I like to take photowalks in our home community and at our favorite travel destinations. It can be interesting to photograph some of the same scenes during different seasons or from different angles. Your photographs will help reinforce your memories of those moments.

That is quite the scene, Roy!  I have been impressed with the beauty of the landscape at Longwood Gardens.  The pictures of it that you post occasionally always fascinate me.

Roy Kelley , you have wrote many times about Longwood Gardens and today I noticed it is in Pennsylvania! Funny thing, Roy, is that I always thought it was a somewhat large and notable park in your backyard.  Can you imagine my surprise when I discovered (Internet) that Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, Pa. is approximately 116 miles/2 hr. drive from you, Gaithersburg, Md.  I have enjoyed your posts in the past and never quite realized its fascinating history - William Penn...1700...Quakers......and the value/use of its 1,000 + acres today. Perhaps you might be surprised how little we in the Midwest know about the East Coast of the United States :)

You are correct. Longwood Gardens is about 124 miles from our home and it takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes to get there if there are no traffic delays. Close enough for a day trip but it makes a full day. Longwood Gardens is a world class travel destination.
