Do We Decorate For The Holiday? Do We Take The House Off The Market?

I really only remember one house that I marketed that was a little over the top with Christmas decorating.  It was mainly because the oversized Christmas tree, with electric train took up a good portion of the living room and made it look exceptionally small.  Still, the home sold, during the month of December, so in that case it apparently didn't matter!

 Good Monday morning Margaret. With most closings scheduled for January or February, it really should not matter whether you put the tree up or not.

Love this house, Margaret. I always say decorate without making it look like Christmas "threw up" all over the home. But I also say let me take photos before the decorations go up. 

Good for the sellers that they can enjoy the season and decorate to their heart's content. My husband and I are going to keep it very simple this year, a wreath on the door, the tree and a few other items. We will be gone a few days and there are only 3 weeks to the big week. I like to take it all done immediately after and like the clean look again.

That definitely is more decoration than I would normally recommend a seller put up if their home is on the market but with this family, I would understand. 

What a lovely home, Margaret, and the decorations fit so well. Anyone viewing the home will feel the love and warmth of the home, and be attracted to it.

Definitely leave it decorated Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland   It is beautiful and adds warmth and comfort feelings to the home.
