Potomac Shores is getting into the Holiday Spirit the Bows and Garland are hung.
As a Buyer Agent Specializing in New homes, I find myself at Potomac Shores often each month. As one of the hottest selling communities in Northern Virginia, it draws quite a bit of online attention. In fact, my last three buyers came from reading my blog updates. Each of them reached out to me to ask for help. All had purchased home previously and knew it cost them nothing to have me work on their behalf and truly believed I could help them navigate all the decisions they would need to make.
Today I got to spend the entire day on the site.
My first appointment was finishing up with my relocating buyer who is purchasing an NV Home. It took several visits and many phone calls and emails for them to feel comfortable with moving forward. They actually wrote me an email this weekend saying I exceeded their expectations as far as being helpful and guiding them so they stay focused and work through all the details. That is saying a lot since they did not know me a week ago and only met me via the internet.
As soon as I finished up with them I was scheduled to do a walk-through with a buyer who's spouse is still overseas so I was the second pair of eyes. The walk through went very well only a few minor details that needed a touch-up. They will close on Friday just in time for the spouses homecoming in time for Christmas! They called me back in May 2015 to help them through the process of buying. Thier friends found me online after reading my blog posts about Potomac Shores. In fact, my client actually wrote a Blog about her building experience at Potomac Shores.
And my last stop of the day was to check out my sister and her husband's new home at Potomac Shore's they settled on today. All and all a great day spent in one of my favorite communities to sell. My sister did a video about the Community two and half years ago and she had no idea at that time she would be buying a home in the community herself. She is also a REALTOR and she did an awesome Video that has been watched over 1040 times by people thinking of buying a new home. ss a Realtor in the business for 30 years you can tell by her video that this community is by no means a typical community Check it out
So here is what I learned this week at Potomac Shores
1. Santa is Coming to Town! Photos and Horse and Carriage Rides with Santa from 1-4
2. Golf Digest recently named Potomac Shores Golf Course one of the Top 10 New Course in the County
for 2015! Now if you are a golfer you need to treat yourself!
3. The Shores Club will Open in Summer of 2016 and is going to be the heart and soul of the community!
4. The 15 new Spots fields are under construction and could be named for our own
Home Town Hero Ali Kreiger who was part of the World Cup 2015 Woman's Soccer Team
5. Two Schools will be built in the Potomac Shores Community the land has been cleared for the new Elementary School which is scheduled to open September 2017. And a Middle School will follow the
following year.
6. As you drive into the community you will now see the clearing on both sides of the road. On the right Will be the New Schools ad Sports Fields and on the right will be a New Neighborhood of homes that will start sales in early spring. The prices are subject to a dramatic jump rumor has it the base prices will be $50,000 more as the builders release the new lots. Don't wait with the price increases and the rate increases you may find yourself priced out of the market.
7. Both NV and Ryan Homes are now taking orders for homes that will be completed in May/June 2016. I also can tell you if you are thinking about buying in Spring 2016 call me now you may be surprised to learn that day is the best day to buy a new home!

In closing if you have not driven through the community you may be surprised to know that Potomac Shores is now home to over 240+ residents and someone is settling on a home weekly. There is a heart and soul that is coming alive in the community. You can see it in the pride of ownership as you drive through. Home Owners decorate their porches to show them off for the season and I am looking forward to seeing the Holiday displays. The Potomac Shores Community Newsletter says the community is having a Holiday Decorating contest which should be a treat for the eyes.
