Craig'st List Part II

By
Real Estate Agent with Lucky Star Realty 01708681
The Internet is a great place to interact and socialize with our fellow human beings. But it is also a great tool for free advertising and getting our messages out to the rest of the world. I have been using Craig's List for the past few months to advertise some listings and I must say that I get more leads from Craig's List (and exposure from Active Rain!) than any other form of print or media (radio, television) advertising. At least 3 of my current clients have contacted me because of my listings on Craig's List. So try your local Craig's List if you have not done so yet and see for yourself. What have you've got to loose? It is a free service as long as you agree to their advertising guidlines and terms, and the customers and future clients who are actively searching on Craig's List are more serious than others. I have also sold some other household items as well on Craig's List. I find that people, especially in small towns like Eureka, Arcata, Crescent City, and McKinleyville will pick up the phone and call you quickly if the item is something you are looking for. So go and post your listings and see how Craig's List can work for you. Feel Free to respond or text me for homes for sale in Eureka, Crescent city, Arcata, McKinleyville, Smith River, Humboldt County or Del Norte County real estate.

Craigslist is the best kept secret.  I've used it for years.  I love that it's all over.  NOTE: for listings, you'll want to repost as listings are put up so much, yours will get pushed down fast.

All newbies, alert! If you're just starting out and you are volunteering to do open house for other agents, get their permission for you to post your open house on craigslist. That's how I started 5 years ago. And for every listing I get, I post at least 2-3 times a week.

It also helps to vary the posting so they look different, both in looks/style as well as title. I post by using the following: (1) www.postlets.com and (2) www.vflyer.com --- both of which provides templates for the posting that make them standout. Mostly free design and posting service for the basic packages.

I also post directly from my website which is networked with www.point2agent.com

Craigslist is my best source of leads for both buyers and sellers. Being from the Bay area where craigslist was born, the awareness of this free service is exceptionally high, and this is where a lot of folks go to buy, to hire, to sell, to socialize.

Enjoy!

I love craigslist and use it often.  I only wish there were a little more controls n flagging.

Any free marketing plateaus are a great deal especially if it gets millions of hits like Craigs does.

I haven't used craigslist as of yet,. The consensus from several posts is it's a good place to advertise and the price is right.I will definitely check it out. Thanks for the reminder.

Good Post!

love Craigslist.  Especially for unique properties.  I no longer use the postlets, however, because I prefer visitors to go directly to my website.  I've gotten many hits that way... and new leads.
