According to the morning news, sales on Black Friday were down. The same news report says internet sales are up and they expect record sales on Cyber Monday!
With Christmas just around the corner, if your Christmas holiday shopping online includes any purchases on Amazon.com, they have created a website smile.amazon.com that donates .05% of the price you spend on eligible Amazon purchases to the non-profit that you designate on the website. Our Board of REALTORS has set up an account with them under the Northeast Georgia Board of Realtors Community Outreach Foundation.
The NEGABOR Community Outreach Foundation has provided senior citizens with everyday personal items along with mind stimulating puzzles and games. The Foundation is currently finalizing plans to award two scholarships in 2016 for $1000 each to two deserving High School Seniors. In addition, plans are in the works to discreetly provide younger children with food items to take home over the weekends to ensure they have something to eat.
