Tuesday Travelogue December 1st

Real Estate Agent with John L Scott Market Center 700512026

WOW! December already! Man, how traveling time flies!!!

Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our 71st week!  Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:

 to enjoy the ride"

"take a trip without even leaving the farm"

"expand your horizons"

"see through someone else's eyes"

  and hopefully much more!

For some reason as December begins, I am drawn to areas north of our United States--as I am intrigued with them!

While doing some detective work outside of our beloved country, I found some pretty "cool" stuff! (Get your gloves ready, it gets colder as you go down the post).

This first one is in the Northwest Territories and honestly, I'm not even sure where those are! Maybe we need to take a plane ride to find it!!

This photo is SO spectacular that I just HAD to start off today's post with it! Check out Fort Simpson, Canada, thanks to Valerie Singer.

Well, maybe Dick Greenburg can help us understand the Northwest Territories. Here is a post about a trip he took to the the northern part of Canada.

Richardson Mountains Northwest Territories

As I explored some other parts unknown to me north of us, I discovered this short video taken during a winter evening in Manitoba of extreme cold. It's dark, but kinda fun and like magic nonetheless!  Thank you, Harry Logan. (His  first laugh sounds like Santa Claus!)

I love this video. As Greg talks, he says "sometime this week we're going to get to 8 degrees (that was UP in temperature)!

St. Johns Newfoundland, and a thank you goes to R. Greg Osmond....he was new at shooting video he said and yet  it was very informative and friendly and I think he did a marvelous job!

Happy December, stay warm and enjoy the indoors!! See you next week for another Tuesday Travelogue.

Please don't forget to comment on these blog posts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels. Feel free to join our group:

Good morning Gayle-What gorgeous photos and also love the videos. It is amazing how cold it can get in those areas.  Canada is on my RV bucket list as is Alaska.  I can tell you had fun with the research. It doesn't seem possible you have been doing the travelogue for well over a yr. Lots of armchair traveling we have been on because of you.

Good morning Gayle, these are some amazing photos. I have my A/C on as it's in the mid 80's, doesn't feel like December at all but that's the beauty of living in FL. Happy Tuesday!

I especially enjoyed the Tuesday Travelogue this week. I follow Dick Greenberg  (of course ;O) but hadn't discovered Valerie, Harry, or Greg. I'm kinda feeling as if I live in southern California after viewing these wonderful localism posts from the north!... Thanks for the connections.

BRRRRRBRRR.  It was 41 when we went to bed.  We are supposed to see a high of  70 today...Love your selection, albeit cold.  When I was at the University of Minnesota, we walked through the subterranean tunnels to get to classes, and it was still chilly.

When we go skiing all that changes, and I start thinking that 30 degrees and sunny is warm...go figure.

Love your tag to Beth Atalay because I just saw the picture of the Christmas card that we did for or client in Ocean Reef, Florida.  It was a tall palm lit up with red lights, it was magnificent.

Hi Gayle -- I hate to admit, I'd need a map or Internet search to find the NorthWest Territories but through the magic of your post, I can transport myself there at least virtually.   As many have commented -- while there's a chill in the air, it's a lot warmer where I'm sitting right now.
