The above photo I took is of a painting done by K. Howsare of Lovettsville VA. It's a jpeg 3310 x 4278 pixels. I uploaded into AR without any problem. It took about 1 minute to load, then I dragged it down to the size you see here.
Next, I uploaded it into the Canva photo editor. That went ok in the usual waiting time. I then made a few edits. I chose one of the filters provided by Canva. There were only a few filters that can see myself using. I then adjusted the contrast a little. Then did a horizontal flip. Then downloaded it and copy and pasted it to my desktop. CANVA converted it to a 2321 x 3000 .png automatically. It took 3 times as long to upload it to AR, and the photo covered much more space than a jpeg. I then had to drag the corners in several times to get it the size you see below. .........continued below
Based on this one test, I doubt if I would use the Canva photo editor much. There are better choices available in photo editors. But if you want to try it for yourself, go to https://photo-editor.canva.com/
Canva has many good tools, but in my opinion, their photo editor needs some improvements in order to compete with the many other free photo editors available.
