What can we learn from Cyber Monday in Real Estate? As we sit here the day after Cyber Monday and seemingly one could not get away from it. Cyber Monday was everywhere... On the TV, radio, family, friends and your Inbox. SO what does it have to do with Real Estate? The answer is annoyance. Hundreds of emails, 6 plus from some stores alone. Sorry Macy's, Best Buy and Walmart but I did not need hourly notices for cyber Monday. I found myself unsubscribing to many stores and deleting others as fast as they came.

 

It reminded me of any typical day in Real Estate when some agents bombard you with emails that I did not ask to get for open houses, new listings or listing blasts. I am not the only one annoyed. Here in the Manchester NH area. Buyers, Sellers and the general public get these emails from agents too and they are annoyed. SO the next time you send a mass email for your listing, you could be hurting yourself more than helping.

Bill Roberts normally buyers and sellers may wait until spring, but winter really has not arrived here in NH yet, it has been very warm and that means sales have been great. There is a shortage of homes for sale and many buyers looking to buy before rates go up, that makes it a great time to sell.

I feel this is why ActiveRain is so important Scott Godzyk  .   We can post a blog on any real estate related subject or on local news so that when the recipient is ready to receive it, they get what they want at a time and place that is acceptable to them.   As a result, they are more likely to absorb and act on the information.   As the creator of the post, the writer is looked at in a positive light and business is more likely to follow.
