The "Toppler Run" is scheduled for December 20, 9 am, in Dunedin, FL.
This annual run, 17 miles, takes participants into Honeymoon Island State Park, then north on the Pinellas Trail into downtown Tarpon Springs, returning to the start at Publix parking lot at the corner of Bayshore and Curlew Road.
This is not a sanctioned race. It is a bunch of friends paying ahead by pre-burning 1400 calories at a little above a ten minute pace. Chilled water is available through public services along the course, however, you will need to bring your own fuel.
We will be sharing the day and location with a bicycle club dressed in all manner of Christmas costumes collecting donation for Toys for Tots, primarily comprised of members of the area fire departments and EMS services. That could come in handy, much as it did for the first running, from which the name is derived.
