Blogging: A Random Act of Kindness

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Providence Group Realty TREC# 0608931

Have you heard about 24 Days of {random} Acts of Kindness? Don't worry... if you didn't know about it before today, there is still time left to start! Make yours 23 Days of {random} Acts of Kindness - or even 364 Days of {random} Acts of Kindness!

So, you like the idea, but wonder how you can effectively contribute to this sweeping movement?

In the same fashion as Cindy Lou Who (Whoville, USA), all it takes is the smallest bit of inspiration coupled with the decision and good will to make it happen 24/7/365.

ActiveRain members have a clear runway for touching thousands of lives -- consumers (buyers & sellers alike), colleagues, and future generations of readers by simply blogging on a daily basis.

What you know matters. What you've lived through -- MATTERS! Whether you share your success story, your horror story, or that little know fact detailing a problem and how you solved it, BLOGGING MATTERS!

You may not know when or who, but the information you share in your AR blog becomes infused with delicious google juice. Even the most obscure topic may find it's way to that single soul who googles "What is CFR 206.125" or "NACA vs FHA" -- or even "how many families can share a well for a property to qualify for financing"... To you, it may seem like one in a million. But if the information you share is accurate and reliable, your blog could answer the million dollar question for some lucky reader who is fortunate enough to benefit from the kindness of your knowledge share.

December 2015 {and beyond} Challenge

This isn't a "sponsored contest" through AR. There are no points to win. There aren't kudos or accolades to harvest. The challenge is to simply challenge yourselves as Real Estate Bloggers to rise above and beyond  the average "market statistics", "listing announcements" and the dutifully posted templated posts. Take a swipe at long tail marketing, and "Jerry Maguire" yourself into a smaller, more meaningful audience. Comment back with your own post link to share your {random} blogged Act of Kindness.

To Your Success,

PS: We could share the algorithm with you to prove the blessings that will come from your investment of kind time and energy, but ask you instead to take a leap of faith and invest in the greater good. As Frank Carrillo of Providence Group Realty says, "The world is round."

PSS: See Maggie Docik's post Tree Falls Over Property Line: Who Pays? Who Picks Up the Pieces? for a real life example of the type of post that falls perfectly in line with a Blogging Act of Kindness!

Bruce Walter , and what a fun read your posts are!  It is rumored that you've been SO GOOD this year that Jolly Ol' St. Nick has the Walter residence on his list for second deliveries! Such a curve breaker. <3

Your Lifetime Friend/Helper!

Couldn't comment on Maggie Dociks post.  Amanda Thomas we used to have a huge century's old tree across the street in a city park and the 'druggies and dealers' would continue to hide under it's shade and into the night.  Calling the police didn't work.  Then one day the tree fell over from termite investation.  Neighbors were happy until the Park service put up another tree!

What a wonderful contest!  I don't work too much about the point thing.  I do worry about being about to spread a moment of joy every day.  I have bookmarked your page so I can get back here and share my post.

Wishing you a Fabulous Friday!

Amanda, I hadn't heard of the 24 Day of Random Acts of Kindness, but think it's very appropriate to issue the challenge starting now and continuing into 2016. I issued a similar challenge a few days ago to encourage AR members to donate and contribute to those less fortunate this holiday season. We have a long reach with our blogs to encourage thousands of people to get involved, not just at Christmas, but year round. Merry Christmas!
