2015 Athens, GA Area Christmas Parades! I love a parade, and this week there are many to choose from.........or you could actually manage to attend all of them!
Start off this Thursday evening, 12/3/2015, at 7:00pm with the 2015 Athens, GA Christmas parade - also called the Parade of Lights. This year's theme is "It's Christmas Time in the City". The parade begins on the corner of Dougherty and Pulaski Streets at 7:00 p.m. ending in front of City Hall for the traditional tree lighting ceremony, hosted by none other than Santa Claus! Ok, so this is not a parade, but it is sure to be lots of Christmas Fun! Friday evening, 12/4/2015 travel east to Colbert, GA (about 20 +- minutes from downtown Athens, GA) to " An Old Fashioned Christmas in Colbert" from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Not had enough of the Christmas Cheer yet? Saturday 12/5/2015, head back to Madison County, and downtown Comer, GA for their 2015 Comer, GA Christmas Parade starting at 2pm. The theme for this year’s Comer, GA parade is “Christmas Around the World".
