Sonoma County Home Sales - September 2015
I'm playing a little catch-up here with market reports, it's been a busy and fun Fall in Sonoma County. It amazes me to see the number of tourists that have found out how wonderful this place is. Small towns like Guerneville and Healdsburg now have a steady stream of lookers as they are trying to find their exact destination, usually a really nice restaurant or wine tasting room. We have several hundred of each.
The real estate market in Sonoma County slowed down a bit as the Summer wound down and the kids went off to school. The median home price dropped slightly and the number of sales were down significantly. July saw the highest number of home sales during a given month in 2015 with 545 closings, 142 less than September. The average Days on Market has held steady at 60 days for several months.
The Sonoma Coastal towns take the honor of having the highest median home prices after following Sonoma Valley and Healdsburg for several months. As a whole, the median home price for a Sonoma County home is $544K, up 10% from a year ago.
