Thanksgiving is over so the Christmas season is game on! There are so many fun things to do in Bozeman to get in the holiday spirit. You could fill every weekend up until Christmas with holiday outings. Not to worry...we want your holidays to be stress-free so we put together a list of all the best things to do in Bozeman during the month of December!
CHRISTMAS STROLL
One of Bozeman's most beloved traditions! This year marks the 35th year! Saturday, December 5th from 4:30 to 7:30 Main Street will close for all the festivities. But, that doesn't mean the fun starts then...all day long there will things going on! The Emerson Cultural Center will have family friendly activities throughout the afternoon including gingerbread house making, live musical and arts performances...all free! On the other end of Main Street at the library there will be ornament making, music and treats. Things really get going when the Christmas Stroll Parade makes it way down Main Street with Santa lighting the decorations at each corner. There will be over 30 food vendors plus countless stores will be open and offering free cocoa and cookies. Other things not to miss...a hay ride down Main Street and Santa photos in the Baxter. Keep in mind some activities at the Stroll require a button, but they are only $4 and proceeds help support this fantastic event.
THE NUTCRACKER
It simply wouldn't be the holidays without the Nutcracker! This year the performance will be back at the newly renovated Willson Auditorium with live music from the Bozeman Symphony. There are four opportunities to catch the show starting Friday evening, two performances on Saturday and a bonus one in Big Sky on Sunday. Get ticket info here and enjoy the show!
SLAM WINTER SHOWCASE
One more thing you have to squeeze into this first weekend of December is the winter SLAM showcase. Get started on your holiday shopping and support local Montana artists! Here you will find unique, handmade ceramics, jewelry, painting, textiles and more. Plus there will be local food and libations to enjoy. The event is Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Masonic Temple Ballroom. Find out more here.
