Beginning a Home Search in Salt Lake

When home buyers are beginning a home search in Salt Lake, they often start with an E mail or phone call asking for more information. Here is an e mail I received this morning from a potential buyer. This possible client was new to us and new to the website.

It was obvious that Chris, we'll call (or her) him has narrowed the area where he wanted to live, down toSandy Utah and White City.

Judging from the price of the house he was looking at, we knew prices of houses that would be of most interest and the fact that the home he was inquiring about was a Sandy short sale, we should help him find distressed  property

 I am looking for a house in the sandy white city area. I saw that this house is possibly sold and I am just wondering if there is a possibility that it might not sell. If not I am very interested in it. Let me know when you get a chance, thank you very much.

Based on what we could tell from the e mail, and not wanting to pick up the phone and bother Chris at work, we sent this reply.

Yes, it looks like the home on 422 East Calnette has an offer under review by the lender as a short sale. As you know,  frequently those don’t close.

 

Because of that, I have asked our associate in the White City and Sandy UT area Jane Simons to follow up on this one for you. If the sale should go upside down you will hear about it first.

 

I have also asked her to send you a list of homes in that area that are on the market in or near the price range this home was listed at. (Sandy homes for sale from $120,000 to $160,000).
