It is not about the money it is about helping people achieve their wants and needs!!!!
A week ago I walked in into my wonderful office, Keller Williams Realty Centre in Columbia, Maryland. As I walked in my OP hands me a piece of paper with a rental lead.
He asked me if I am intrested and I said sure why not. Rentals don't usually take a lot of time especially if you ask the right questions.
Long story short I met my potential client and her mom the next day at the office. They explained to me that they have a $2600 voucher and would like to move from Baltimore to Howard County to give the most adorable three year old twins a better education and a better life.
I showed 4 homes which they loved all. They picked the top 2 and decided on the best one.
And now comes the hard part. Getting the other realtor to present to their client a $2600 voucher with a credit score of 500.
Why so low? Well this amazing mom after finding that her twins may be born with many medical problems decided to keep them. In order to get them to where they are today she had to not work and payed a minimum on her credit card which she owed only $1000 three years ago. Now with the help of a credit repair company she is paying $300 a month to get this problem solved.
I did speak and write to the top two choices.
I really want to help this wonderful hardworking family. Now the daughter has a good full time job while her mom helps with the twins. The daughter is also going to school to become a nurse.
I love selling houses and seeing people happy in their new home.
Nothing will make me happier than to see this amazing family rent a home in this wonderful county where the schools are amazing.
Helping this family is why being a realtor is one of the best professions. Seeing families' lives change for the better it is what it's all about.
