Big But NOT Easy...

Real Estate Agent

Last week marked the beginning of a new journey for me.  I decided after months of mulling it over, to affiliate with a different brokerage.

The decision should not be made lightly, this I know.  I also know that I am a free agent (barring any contractual limitations- read your contracts folks).

This decision made me pull out my handwritten notes and documentation from the real estate course I took to obtain my license as a real estate agent.

In my notes I saw what inspired me to become an entrepreneur in the first place.  And I will repeat it now.  Hopefully it will inspire others out there who are dealing with the same issues as I am:

"One can feel good about choosing a career in real estate or another related field."  Why, you may ask?  "Because real estate is one of the few careers where pure ability is all that matters."

Isn't that beautiful?  Nothing else matters, if you are good with people and work hard, you will succeed!

I have learned this week by some I have trusted or believed to be supportive, that they think I have made a huge mistake.  Their anger and resentment regarding my taking a "different" path to grow my business has been made evident to me.  Thankfully my clients are very supportive.

In the end, it still goes back to what I write in this post.  My ability and desire to prove my worth as a top notch service provider through action will supersede what others may think or believe.

My plan is to take the negative energy I have experienced regarding my decision and channel it into positive.  It is what motivates me to do even better in 2016!  I hope this post motivates you in your endeavors as well.

Jim Rohn is exactly right. Now that your decision is made bring all the positive energy to it you can. I hope 2016 is your best year ever.
