Tahoe City Winter Sports Park at the Tahoe City Golf Course
If you are a winter sports fan but you don't always want to head up on one of the ski area lifts, you will be pleased to learn that the Tahoe City PUD has developed a great winter venue at the Tahoe City Winter Sports Park at the Tahoe City Golf Course.
The 46 acres directly behind the Bank of America and Save Mart operate as the Tahoe City Golf Course in the summer and converts during the winter months to a Winter Park featuring Cross Country Ski Trails, an exciting Sledding Hill, a Snowshoe track and general outdoor winter entertainment as well as having a warm base operation with a bar and restaurant in downtown Tahoe City, CA.
The Tahoe City Winter Sports Park Ski Trails are open and groomed daily. The Sledding Hill is Open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10am to 5pm and Open 7 days a week during holiday periods. The park is 'Dog Friendly' so you don't have to leave Fido at home while Village else is having a great time playing in the snow.
If you can't think of a great activity on Saturday evening, you can take the brood to the Tahoe City Winter Sports Park for an evening of Night Sledding and Skiing every Saturday until 8 pm!
Additional activities currently being considered for the Tahoe City Winter Sports Park are a temporary ice skating rink similar to the Ice Rink at the Truckee Regional Park. There are also ice skating rinks at the Village at Northstar, The Resort at Squaw Creek and Squaw Valley Ice Pavillion.
Hours of operation: TC Winter Sports Park will be open every day during the following holiday periods:
December 18 –January 3, February 12-February 21, 2016
Night sledding and skiing every Saturday night till 8pm
A $10 trail use fee is requested for trail use Mondays-Thursdays
Sledding Hill and Sports Park Rental Shop Hours
Friday and Sunday: 10am-5pm Saturdays: Open 10am to 8pm
The Clubhouse Restaurant and Bar are Open Friday to Sunday from 10am-5pm.
Rates: Season Pass only $59
Sports Park pass: Sports Park Pass $10 per person - Includes: Sled Hill pass with disc and groomed ski trail pass
