Thank God for Flower Mound & McKinney Police

Flower Mound and McKinney Police in Texas Serve and Protect. My pay-it-forward for their services is to keep them in my fervent, perpetual prayers, and ask for blessings to protect them and their families from all harm. From this day forward, I vow to speak highly and respectfully about the Police force with good intentions, thoughts and positive feedback to all people who ask me “How’s the market?”

As a local Realtor, it has been my business to sell the Dallas Metroplex, in particular, Denton and Collin Counties. Prospective buyers, especially those relocating to the areas of Flower Mound and McKinney want to know about localism, such as location, housing market, resale value, education, neighborhoods, parks, activities for kids and adults, places of interest, shopping, infrastructure, and transportation. Until the month of December, 2015, I never thought to include those who serve and protect the people. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to the Flower Mound Police and the McKinney Police Department.

My personal story with the Flower Mound Police began on December 5, 2015. The time was somewhere between 1:00 and 1:20 A.M. I was alone, burning the midnight oil working on business. The night was quiet. Other than the sound of my printer, I heard nothing until the garage door opened. The sound was loud and distinct. For an instant, I froze. I couldn’t believe I was hearing the sound of the garage door opening. And then it stopped. I was petrified. This was not a dream. It was real. Immediately, I sprung to action. I feel certain, I frightened the intruder; then called 911 but I had no way of knowing if the burglar was hiding, inside my garage or not.

Shortly before 1:30 a.m. the police arrived. My garage door was open. I was shaking. The Flower Mound Police took the matter seriously. They were kind, caring, and consoling. They did an excellent job making sure I was safe and that my property was protected. The officers searched the neighborhood and surrounding area and they continue to patrol to ensure neighborhood safety. One never knows how good the Police are until there is probably cause. I can say with 100% certainty, the Flower Mound Police are well trained, considerate, and compassionate about people. They helped me through a difficult time and I am grateful. A Policeman followed up a few days later and we talked. He explained everything and gave me the confidence I needed to feel secure in my home. In addition, he gave me additional tips about home security and safety.

An Adventure with the McKinney Police Department. The date was December 14, 2015. I am grateful and thankful for a couple of McKinney Mounted Police. They are my knights in shining armor! I was in the Historic District of McKinney. As a Realtor, I’ve sold many properties in McKinney. Although I knew about the historic district, I never walked through the Square. While doing business the night before, I drove through the beautiful shopping area. But it was late. From my car, I enjoyed the Window Shopping. The shops were closed. On Monday morning, I decided to go back, and experience, first-hand the types of shopping there is in McKinney's historic shopping district. I was in the mood for Christmas. I wasted no time finding a place to park, but I didn’t pay any attention to where I was parking, the parking lot number or street names. It was fun to get out of the car to walk for blocks and enjoy the historic buildings, meet the friendly shop owners, and see what they had to offer. The spirit of Christmas was alive! Several hours passed before I realized just how tired, hungry and light-headed I felt. My bones told me it was time to go. I listened to my lower back and my feet. For the past two years, I’ve been fighting off a disease that is attacking every organ in my body. I was really hurting. Although there were restaurants, I starting thinking about business and felt it was time for me to go. The problem is, I couldn’t find my car. Worse, I didn’t pay any attention to the street I drove down to retrace my steps when I arrived. I simply started walking. I felt lost and confused.

When I couldn’t find my car, I started to panic. My spine was hurting and the pain was shooting down my leg. I couldn’t remember where I parked my car. I never realized how big the historic district was in McKinney. A couple of McKinney Mounted Police were trotting down the street and noticed me. The Police Officers were very astute and knew I needed help. I told them my story. One trotted off down the street to look for my car. For a second, I couldn’t even remember what kind of car I had, year, or plate number. I vaguely described the car. One trotted off; the other stayed close to me. They stayed in communication and I was guided to my car. I continued to walk for blocks on foot. I didn’t tell them how I was feeling. The sun was shining brightly. When I finally saw the first Mounted Police Officer he looked like a vision of God. I just knew he found my car! In that moment, I thanked God for these two officers. If it hadn’t been for them, I might have dropped to the ground. I told them briefly my recent encounter with the Flower Mound Police, and praised them all. I told them I was going to blog all about them but I didn’t tell them I was going to ask for blessings on all Flower Mound and McKinney Police Officers every single day of my life. I am very grateful the Town of Flower Mound and the City of McKinney have a great Police Force, trained in human behavior and helping people.

The Police in Denton and Collin County do serve and protect. I am grateful for their services. Big Media has been reporting bad news about bad situations and officers in states across America. The people need to know that where they live, places they move, and where they travel to is safely protected by the local police. One of the first questions every person moving wants to know is about neighborhood safety. To the best of my knowledge, every single Police Department will answer questions and talk to prospective buyers about what they need to know.

People need to know, like any occupation, or professional career, not all people are equal. We can’t generalize and believe everyone is corrupt and/or evil because of some bad apples. It is time to think back to the good actions by our own local Police Departments and share the good stories about these fine and respectable Officers who do their jobs exceptionally well. I am paying it forward by writing this story and praying for them, for blessings and protection to them and their families forever more. Secondly, I am encouraging all Real Estate Agents on ActiveRain to write a blog or community newsletter to include good stories about good actions from their local police. My call to action is: Let there be Peace on Earth, and let it begin with me.

This is a good reminder to appreciate those who Serve and Protect.  Maybe a big plate of cookies to the precinct would be a good idea.  They are our Knights in Shining Armor!

Patricia,  The incident with the garage door opening would have frightened me too - I cannot imagine. Such a comfort to know that your local police are kind and helpful.  I'm sorry to learn that you have been fighting a disease for the past two years - holy gads ... prayers are out for your healing.

The mounted police were angels placed in the right time to help you find your car.  Yes, Peace on Earth is my prayer as well.

Patricia,

What a great story...I am so happy that everything worked out, and that the police took such examples for what the police represents.  Great way to highlight a great service to the community.

I'm so glad you are safe and sound in the midst of both those events Patricia! Police officers are receiving such undue disdain around the Country because of a few bad apples but your stories go a long way in painting the true nature of these civil servants!

Patricia, my heart was pounding as I read the garage door incident, how scary! No matter where we live and who we are or what we do for living, we're not immune to burglary, assault or any type of violence. I am thankful for our police officers.

The cops have got a lot bad publicity for just doing their job lately. This is one of the few blogs about how dedicated they are.

Thanks

Good morning Patricia. First, I'm glad all is good with you and that you honor the police force in your area.

There is no police force in our area, but if there was a problem I would be ready to handle it.

OH, Patricia, I got goose bumps reading the first part of your story! And I know about the light-headedness and when the synapses aren't firing from going all day, not eating and just simply wearing yourself down. They didn't take long either time to get to you and help you.

I LOVED this post. More need to be written about this type of thing!

Blessings and health surrounding you, too, my dear friend.
