Passwords & Usernames

By
Real Estate Agent with XSells Team at Sky Realty

There are so many websites that as Realtors we use on a daily basis. Each require a username aka login and a password. At first I tried to keep all of them the same and then one website needed more letters and/or numbers and then here you go having to remember all of the different logins and passwords. A lot of the websites won't allow you to use the one you want to use. They make you have it a certain difficulty and you have to add so many numbers to make it valid. I'm so confused I have started a notebook of them all. I would love to know what other agents are using to keep theirs straight and to help remember them. I have to go through 3 different logins and 3 different passwords to get into some of these websites. It's crazy - then not to mention when I have to get into family stuff like banking and our college kids websites for schools and stuff. Wow ... I'm tired just thinking about it. Does anyone have any advice?

Great Post and one to watch for answers. I am on the money side and it is the same way. In fact I just did get off the telephone with EMAGIC for the same thing.

Thanks

Tony

I have mine on a spread sheet and also in a good old roladex. As a Realtor and Mortgage Originator I have 43 different logins and counting....

Try RoboForm http://www.roboform.com/.  It costs a few dollars but you never have to worry about user names and passwords again.  This program remembers the sites you visit and saves the UN/PWs.  Good luck.

I think most of us feel your pain. It's at the point where I too keep a manual log and hope it doesn't get into the wrong hands.
