Future Concept DJI Phantom X
Pic from DJI -----
Just recently, my husband added a gimbal for steady video and found that there was a firmware update for the controller as well. This update loaded flight limits and airport no fly zone information into the controller. DJI is one of the largest makers of drones or UAV. Because these drones use GPS signals to provide information to the controller, it would seem that this information could be used to create a virtual fence around no-fly zones. This is a pro-active step by a company to help minimize safety issues.
DJI has also created a concept Phantom X that is truly an amazing advancement in technology. It basically can fly without the help of a pilot. There are already sonar type add-ons to help fly a drone indoors and avoid objects and you can program points or a course for the drone to fly but this new concept will put all that together in one easy drone package.
