“Divorce Doesn’t Mean the Problems are Over”

Our heart strings can easily get pulled in situations like the email below. Even though this person was not on the mortgage, she was on title and there is a foreclosure going on which precludes her from getting a mortgage at this time. Is this fair? Hell no!
This is an explanation about issues concerning my credit. I am writing this because when I was researching lenders for a mortgage, I discovered you on the internet search I conducted.
I have been divorced for a little over a year after being married for thirty years. My ex-husband destroyed our finances by constantly taking money out of the house. I did not want to participate in this, but remained on the title. I was not on the mortgage.
Since then, I have rebuilt my finances and recovered from this financial debacle by working hard to do so and have virtually no debt. I have been steadily employed as a teacher. After careful consideration, and calculating the numbers, it is apparent to me that owning a home is much more cost effective than renting.
Thank you for your consideration.
