Best Neighborhoods for Christmas Lights in Broward County

Christmas time is here! Many people associate Christmas with cheerful tunes, delicious foods, and bright lights. There’s something amazing about the decorations that people place on their lawns, and many neighborhoods get pretty competitive about their light displays. This benefits us because we get to see all the incredible, creative displays. Wondering where you can see the best holiday light displays in Broward County, Florida? • 11201 NW 14th St., Plantation Acres, FL 33323

It’s called the Hyatt Extreme Christmas house! They’ve been putting up lights on this house for the last 20 years. You can only imagine the incredible number of lights and decorations they’ve gathered through the years. They light things up Sunday – Thursday from 6 PM – 10 PM and Friday – Saturday from 6 PM – 11 PM. They turn off the lights for the season on December 28^th, so make plans to visit them. • 511 Fig Tree Lane, Plantation, FL 33317

While you’re in Plantation, stop by the Historical Museum for their Winter Wonderland exhibit. They put up around 40 themed holiday trees, a Hanukkah display, and animated musical figures. They are open from 10 AM – 4:30 PM.

• 11700 NW 28^th Ct., Plantation, FL 33323

This incredible light display is called Christmas Lights in the Acres. It features over a million lights that are synchronized with songs of the season. It lights up nightly from 6:30 PM – 10 PM, weather permitting. Check out their Facebook page.

• 7730 NW 11th Place, Plantation, FL 33322

This home is the home of the Don Law family, and they would love for you to check out their Christmas light show. The lights are moving to the music and it’s all computer controlled. You can stand across the street for the best viewing. Turn your radio to 104.1 FM to hear the tunes. He’ll even loan you a headset if you need one. New lights this year! Check the website here.

• 3600 W. Sample Road, Coconut Creek, FL 33066

This is actually a Holiday Fantasy of Lights display that runs through a park. You drive through in the comfort of your vehicle, and there is a small entrance fee to enjoy the light show. This is their 8^th year putting up the displays, and it’s one of the most enjoyable things to do in the area this time of year. They are open nightly from 6 PM – 10 PM through January 2, 2016. • 12510 NW 10^th Street, Sunrise, FL 33323

Known as the Hizzy Christmas Light Display, this home puts on their Christmas light show nightly beginning at 6 PM, every hour. This year their light show uses songs like Wizards of Winter, Amazing Grace, and Deck the Halls. Check out their Facebook page.

• 10660 NW 32^nd Street, Sunrise, FL 33351

Snowmen, trains, elves, and over 38,000 lights are on display at this home in Sunrise. They turn on the lights nightly from 6 PM – 10 PM through January 2^nd.

• 501 S. Federal Highway, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009

This neighborhood is located in The Village at Gulfstream. That is a spectacular light show that has about 250,000 lights on a Christmas tree and is synchronized to music at the top of every hour from 6 PM – 11 PM. Don’t forget to grab your selfie with Santa and check out the train ride.        

• 2300 North 57 Avenue, Hollywood, FL 33021

The musical light show begins on the hour and half hour from 6 PM - Midnight and runs for 10-20 minutes. One can also listen to the music on 97.7 FM. The owners ask that you not block traffic and suggest parking on Thomas Street is you would like to enjoy the light show. Check out their Facebook page.

• 7541 Raleigh Street, Hollywood, FL 33024

This home has the lights, the holiday blow-up features, and reindeer. Thousands of lights create a wonderful display that is sure to please the young and young at heart. They light up things nightly from dusk until 10 PM.

• 243 SE 6^th Street, Dania Beach, FL 33004

Over 72,000 lights twinkle and dance to the tune of 14 different holiday songs. They’ve got lasers, disco lights, and a tree that is 16 feet tall. They play their music with an outdoor sound system, but you can also tune into 95.3 FM to listen form your vehicle. The show happens nightly from 6 PM – 10 PM until January 6^th.

• 6845 NW 9^th Court, Margate, FL 33063

This adorable house is lit up with everything from candy canes to Christmas trees. The owner suggest that you park at the club house and walk over, or just drive by and enjoy the lights. He lights things up nightly until January 5^th.

• 3750 S. Flamingo Rd., Davie, FL 33330

Holiday tunes fill the air as twinkling lights mesmerize. This special light display takes place at the Flamingo Garden’s Botanical Gardens and Historic Way Home. The place comes alive with holiday cheer evert Saturday and Sunday until December 27^th. Light turn on at dusk and run the show every half hour until 8 PM.
