Thomas
Thanks for stopping by and taking time out of your day to read my post. My intent is to put a smile on your face. Hopefully you’ll go away with some information you may have forgotten about or did not know. Now sit back and enjoy the post for the day.
Thomas was born in Dorset, England back in 1840 to Thomas and Jemima. His mother Jemima was well-read and educated which helped Thomas when he first went to school at the age of 8. While at school he learned Latin and showed academic potential. His formal education ended at 17 because his family could not afford to send him to college. He moved to London in 1862. Prior to that we worked for an architect. I could not find out how but in any respect he was enrolled as a student with King’s College in London. During his time in London he became acutely conscious of the class divisions and of his social inferiority.
This sparked his interest in writing. You may know him better as Thomas Hardy. He wrote Far from the Madding Crowd, The Mayor of Castlerbridge and Jude the Obscure to name a few. He died in 1928 at the age of 87.
