They are silent, easy to fly, manipulate and control and can be outfitted with cameras that can zoom into anything with clarity and record what it is hovering over or around with ease and little effort too. Gone are the days where people hide in bushes to capture a story, event or memory. This is right in your face, up close and operates without fear !
ANSWER THIS PLEASE
What would you do if one showed up unexpectedly in your backyard, you know the yard that is fenced off for privacy and is locked so no one can enter in. But there it is, silent, prowling around and taking videos of you, your family or some event without your knowledge or permission. What would you do?
AIR & GROUND SPACE
Remember, in Real Estate you own what is below the ground of your property as well as the space above it yet this drone can violate that space and it can do it without your permission too. Furthermore, before you could complain, it would be gone or explained away. Who did it? Where did it go?
WHAT'S THAT?
I saw one of these at a large festival gathering and then I saw another and they were expertly driven through the air over peoples heads and crowds. Then, they just stop and hover recording everything and even broadcasting it live to the mother source too. A few times they were so close you could reach out and touch them
OH...A DRONE
It takes getting used to when seeing these huge flying machines or even the little ones just coming and going while zipping around. Pretty soon, they will become common place and be accepted as simple as saying...Oh, there's a drone and then, at some point, not even caring about them. I wonder....
INTRUDER ALERT
But here's the thing. People like to have and also pay for their privacy. Even if they banned these during the day, people would just fly them higher and add more zoom to the lens to capture the target whatever that is. What about this other dynamic too...
BAT-DRONE?
Bats, owls and insects and all the rest come and go silently all night long and no one is the wiser for it. The drone is the new bat so to speak. It can patrol at night and not be detected or spotted accomplishing what it has to do. Even if identified, it can zoom away quickly and head back to the barn undetected
THE QUESTION AGAIN
Back to the question. If you caught one of these hovering around you, uninvited, unwelcome and in your opinion violating your space or rights, can you bring it down? We know shooting a gun in a city is a crime so it would have to be brought down another way. Slingshot? Bow and arrow? Rock throw?
HOW ABOUT THIS
Drone wars! They come up with a counter drone, that is equipped with air to air projectiles that can fire upon another invasive drone. Another version could be a disposable fire and forget sort of like a shoulder launcher that fires hard plastic projectiles? Can you do this? What if you did?
DRONE ATTACK?
How about a Drone detectors set on roofs and ground cover that go off when something is detected flying by or hovering. Think: Those auto lights that go on when movement detected. Then, either you are alerted and take cover, close the curtains or ? or counter attack as you see fit. Drone alerts!
ITS MINE NOW?
If I shoot down an expensive Drone, is it mine to keep? If it falls in my backyard when on a routine patrol from pilot error or failure of some sort, is the owner liable if it does damage? What if I don't surrender the drone? I detect a strong market for this subject and all that it is connected with.
ANTI-DRONE MARKET
Remember, a Drone can take out your night vision camera, alarms on your home or business silently and scoot away! In fact, it can perform routine reconnaissance flights to gather Intel on anything whenever it feels like it. Just imagine that whatever you kept out with a fence, landscape or in a remote area is no longer invasion proof
This subject is wide open and just getting started
