When a Seller doesn't like a 6% commission, tell them....

They really need to worry about Obama because he is the one that wants to raise the Capital Gains tax up to 28%!

And Hillary said she would only raise it to 20%!  What a bargain! Americans should feel priveleged. Right!

The Government wants 20-28% percent in Capital Gains Taxes, for doing nothing, but Sellers complain that we want 6% for all the work we do.

Seems ass-backwards to me.

Think about who you vote for.

Interestingly enough, Ron Paul wants to ABOLISH the IRS and make the government smaller, but you never hear about him on TV.

I heard about him, but he is fighting the machine and the machine always wins.  Sadly...I am tired of the machine

It's ashame. America is always sick of their politicians, but they won't vote for someone different.

Only because Ron Paul is a non-factor...I personally like some of his ideas but he has no backing on the big stage...Don't you sometimes look at these candidates and ask yourself "is this the best we have?"...How come the Bill Gates of the world don't run?..Where's the Richard Branson types in the USA?..Too much media scrutiny of trivial missteps along the way...Something is extremely wrong with the system...I'll get off my soapbox...Oh yeah, one more thing, i was MUCH BETTER OFF when Bill was in the White House and I don't give a crap what he was doing while he was there...It's a great day to be alive in America!

Joseph - raising taxes (any taxes) is bad. I recently wrote a blog on "Oil Change Economics" that gives a different perspective when gov raises taxes.

Ernie - I am not sure how much experience Bill Gates or Richard Branson have with politics. Ron Paul does have experience, and he wants to do away with government intervening in everyone else business, including your personal life. And he wants to abolish the IRS - wouldn't you want to keep more of your money? Well, all the people cheering for Obama or Hillary will be bitching about them in a few years.

Peter - interesting point in your blog post.

At the same time, higher taxes for the rich has NEVER helped the middle or lower class. It does not save them money, does not make their food cheaper, doesnt make gas cheaper, doesn't help them keep their homes. But so many candidates always say how they will raise taxes for the rich. It doesn't solve anything.

No, it doesn't. I just don't get why they keep wanting to raise taxes and even more so, why people keep wanting to vote for candidates who tell them they want to raise taxes.

Americans want change. They elect a President, then bitch for the next 4-8 years on how we need change. But when the elections come again, they choose the popular candidates, because they only know about these candiates. If the other candidates got more press coverage, America could make a more informed decision. Instead, it seems to me that Americans are bombarded with media and news of the popular candidates, so the brainwashed Americans only know those candidates. Most Americans are lazy and don't want to take the time and do the homework on everyone who is running. They would rather just have a choice between    A.)  &   B.)

Ever wonder why other candidates are rarely even mentioned in the news? Because the media outlets have their own agendas.

Yes it DID help the middle class - remember the 90s - those were GOOD DAYS!  Remember the New Deal - that began an era of prosperity for the middle and working classes.  Some call it "soak the rich."  Looking around at the ludicrous gap between rich and poor and how many very high tech, high skilled careers have been marginalized and commoditized...I say SOAK AWAY!!!! We have to take America back from the machine and the top 0.01% that holds the concentration of wealth.

Ruthmarie - I'm not sure what you're reffering to, but I wouldn't mind reading a little more about it. It just seems that everything trickles downward and no matter who is targeted, the results are always the same.

Linda - Of course Ron Paul doesn't have a chance in hell. The only candidates that get a chance are the ones completely wrong for our country; everyone else is completely suppressed by old wealth and the media conglomerates. It's ashame. As time goes on, our government gets worse and worse. They are too big. They have no business putting their hands in every aspect of everyones lives. But citizens think there is nothing they can do about it, and that it is for the greater good. Such a crock of shit.

Joe,

Not in our life time.....change in government is so slow it looks like they are going backwards....this type of change is so far off the charts that is could NEVER happen.

Dan, unfortunately, you are probably right. Americans don't want change. Thing just keep getting worse, not better. It is really simple. If nothing changes, nothing changes.

McCain came 'out of nowhere' to win the Republican nomination.  I can't 'blame the media'... they were the one's saying he's miles in back of the frontrunners.

The PEOPLE chose to put Mac in this present position.  I would not call that lazy.

After a lifetime of being a registered Republican, though cross party voting during any given election, I changed my registration to become a Democrat in PA, so I can not only vote for Obama Mamma, but to help stop the evil one - Billery from sniffing the whitehouse.
